UPDATE: Suspect Arrested – Detroit Girl Abducted By Mother’s Boyfriend

Latest: Police just arrested the suspect a few moments ago after a pursuit.

Detroit Police report that at 2:30 this morning, 42 year old Grady Lamar Barrett abducted 2 year old Sondra Renee from her aunt's home in Detroit.

Barrett is driving a 2009 GMC Sierra Pickup truck, Michigan plate DAS 8417, with a trailer attached - the Michigan plate on the trailer is D476667. Signage on the trailer says 'G&G Landscaping, Snow Removal and Grass Cutting.

Barrett is a 6' black man weighing 278 pounds, bald with a thick beard and mustache. He reportedly showed a gun when he forcibly took the toddler from her aunt's home. He is not the biological parent of this child - he had been dating the girl's mother.

Two year old Sondra Renee is 2'5", brown eyes, braids and dark complexion.
