Former Lansing Catholic Star Cooper Rush Cut By Dallas
Former Lansing Catholic Cougar and Central Michigan Chippewa Cooper Rush was cut by the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. The team signed former Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton and Rush became the odd man out in Dallas.
He only had one offer coming out of high school and it was to Central where he started for 4 years. In 2017, he signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent and backed up Dak Prescott the last 2 years. What an accomplishment for a local kid.
Some expect he could get interest from his former Cowboys coach Jason Garrett who is now the offensive coordinator for the New York Giants. Click here to see that speculation.
Whether it's in New York or elsewhere, Cooper has a very bright future ahead of him and we all wish him luck!
