Jackson County Fair is …WAIT! Don’t Get Ahead of Me
The 2020 Jackson County Fair has been postponed. Are you really surprised? That's the bad news. The good news is the fair will be back in 2021 - with the SAME grandstand shows scheduled for this year. That means one more year to get ready for Toby Keith, Contemporary Christian band MercyMe and the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The 2021 dates for the Jackson County Fair are August 8th - 14th, 2021. The dates for the shows are:
Sunday August 8th,2021 - Toby Keith
Monday August 9th - MercyMe
and Tuesday August 10th - Lynyrd Skynyrd. And this is made even more important due to the fact that Lynyrd Skynyrd, will be in the final year of their Farewell Tour in 2021.
According to a press release from the fair:
The final day to receive a refund for any tickets purchased in 2020 will be on Thursday, July 2nd. Tickets can be refunded by going online to www.etix.com or by calling 1-800-514-3849.
Tickets purchased for the 2020 Jackson County Fair will be honored for the rescheduled 2021 dates noted above.
(Seriously, you're not going to turn those tickets in are you?)
And if you're wondering what happens to all the 4-H kids who worked do hard to raise livestock for the fair this year, the press release goes on to say:
We are working closely with MSU Extension to provide a virtual project showcase opportunity to our 4-H and FFA youth exhibitors. Details will be provided in the near future.
Virtual 4-H livestock shows? Who woulda thunk it? Wow. See ya next year.
