Lansing Burning Ban Lifted

This week's rains provided enough relief for some area municipalities to lift their open burning bans, including Lansing. WLNS.com reports that Delhi Township, Grand Ledge, and St. Johns also followed suit. East Lansing sent a Nile message to announce their ban was lifted.

This does not necessarily mean that bans are lifted in your fire district. Meridian Township still has their ban in effect. Residents should contact local officials with any questions about legal burning.
