Developers are planning several projects along the Riverfront in Downtown Lansing, funded in part by private contributions from individuals and corporations. The Community Foundation is upping the ante by adding a $1 million investment into improving the Capital City's waterfront.

Creating a more vibrant destination corridor from the Cherry Hill boat launch near I-496 to the Brenke Fish Ladder near Old Town will likely include public seating areas with fireplaces, boat docking, new kayak launches, artwork and lighting and more.

More details on the particulars of the proposed projects and those involved can be found in a Lansing State Journal article here.

The Community Foundation (also known as the Capital Region Community Foundation) is a tax-exempt public charity that serves the charitable needs and enhances the quality of life for people in Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties.
