WLNS.com reports that Haslett Public Schools were put into a lockdown Thursday after an armed man fled the scene of a car accident. He remains on the loose.

According to the report, Meridian Township Police sealed off an area near the intersection of Marsh and Haslett Roads as they searched for the gunman. Officers from MSU and East Lansing aided in the search. The only suspect description is that of a white male in his 20's dressed in a yellow shirt.

The lockdown at the schools was apparently lifted despite the fact that the suspect was still on the loose.
