Very quietly, a new law went into effect last week in Michigan. According to WILX.com, it is now legal for specially licensed party and liquor stores to offer delivery to residential addresses.

According to the law, stores have to be licensed to offer delivery, which some area stores will do. Don't think this means if you're too drunk to drive for the next six-pack that your money will be welcomed. Stores must still ensure that customers are not over-intoxicated, and will have to verify that all purchases are made by someone 21 or older. There is a laundry list of details that retailers must be compliant with. This link to The State of Michigan website explains the law it in its full legaleze form.
