Michigan Rocker Gets Chairs Turning On ‘The Voice’

The 50-year-old, Saginaw-born singer for Riot V killed his blind audition for a spot on NBC's "The Voice."

Todd Michael Hall, as reported by MLive, has been the lead singer for Riot V since 2013 and found solo success when he auditioned for the 18th season of the hit singing competition show.

Slaying his rendition of Foreigner's "Juke Box Hero", Hall got judges Blake Shelton and John Legend to turn their chairs, signifying they wanted to "coach" him through the season.

“That is incredible. That takes me back to the hair bands. That’s what I love," said Shelton, "That is a direct path to the finale."

Legend also commended Hall on "hitting those high notes out of the stratosphere" and called the performance "magical."

Before choosing to be "Team Blake" and having Shelton as his coach, other judges, Kelly Clarkson and Nick Jonas shared their remarks.

“I was thinking you had reached the peak of your range and then you would just push it one step further,” said Jonas.

Michigan has been well-represented in previous seasons of the "singing show", now to see classic rock represented like this truly warms our head-banging hearts.
