The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency announced a state pilot program today which is intended to help struggling veterans and their families. Michigan Veterans can receive free housing counseling, credit report reviews and financial wellness tools. Each Veteran in the program will get an action plan and budget personalized for them.

The story says there are nearly 600 thousand Veterans in Michigan and Ingham County has the states 9th highest population of Veterans in Michigan.
