Wednesday's snow wasn't as bad as what they saw in Northern Michigan. And the March floods could have been much worse. But with severe weather such as high winds, lightning, and tornado season on the horizon, Governor Rick Snyder has proclaimed next week, "Severe Weather Week" in Michigan.

Everything from tornado and thunderstorm safety, to severe weather preparedness for pets will be covered and can be found on the website of the National Weather Service. Also, a statewide tornado drill will take place on Wednesday April 11 at 1:00 PM.

So to better prepare yourself for the upcoming weather changes that Michigan often faces in the spring and summer, you can visit the National Weather Service's website and get all of the information for yourself by clicking here: National Weather Service
