On the 4th of July we took a little drive to Corunna to check out their car show, live music and crafts, it was a beautiful afternoon for a drive. This past weekend we were at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge for their car and craft show.

And when do they take the time to review laws that are still on the books from decades ago? Did you know we still have many laws that can still be enforced, whether they make sense in our day and age or not.

You will find your normal small little neighborhood parks that are nice to visit and enjoy the surroundings. We’ve also got some quite large parks, some that have bodies of water, and some that have playgrounds for the kids.

Fortunately with the number of vaccinated people in Michigan we are in better shape than other places when it comes to covid, but unfortunately as emergency restrictions come to an end, so does rent and mortgage protection.

The Miners Castle is one of the best known features at Painted Rocks. In 2006 one of the two turrets at Miners Castle fell off into Lake Superior. There were no injuries in this instance, but at least five major falls have occurred there in the past 12 years.

It’s always fun on a hot summer day to head to your favorite ice cream parlor and enjoy a little bit of heaven. Maybe a Banana Split, or a hot Fudge Sundae, or even just a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate and rolled in peanuts.

There are certainly fancy places to eat where you can get select cuts and fancy types of fish, like Red Lobster, Mitchells Fish Market, or East Side Fish Fry. But plain old fish and chips still do it for me, plain and simple.

Most of us eat an average of 4.2 meals per week prepared in a restaurant. As a nation, Americans eat out four or five times a week, which comes out to about 18.2 meals outside of home every month.

Even though some are proceeding with caution after the pandemic, many are going with full blown events and large crowds, because the restrictions on crowds are no longer in effect.
