State Representative from Detroit Charged with Felony Fraud. Again.
The Detroit Free Press reports that 39 year old Democratic State Representative Brian Banks of Detroit is facing felony charges for allegedly submitting fake pay stubs to get a $3,000.00 loan six years ago. Sounds like the loan he's accused of getting fraudulently went to collections - oh, and he allegedly made ONE payment on the loan before it went to collections. The loan was intended to pay for classes to help the legislator pass the state bar exam.
For the record, Banks already has EIGHT felony convictions under his belt. Get all the details here from freep.com.
Banks had ALSO been charged with making unwanted sexual advances towards a former House of Reps staff member. Nice.
He's running for office again this year.
