Over 40 years ago, daredevil Evel Knievel tried jumping Idaho's Snake River Canyon, but the stunt failed because his parachute deployed too soon.

30 year old Hollywood stuntman Eddie Braun idolized Evel, who obviously influenced Braun's career choice. Braun made it a goal to make that Snake River Canyon jump himself, which he successfully did this past Friday at 400 mph!

Braun said, "I feel like the no-name, third-string quarterback of a junior-varsity team that just won the Super Bowl," he said. "My team got me there. I ran it into the end zone. We scored and won."

ABC News has the full story, and video, here of Friday's successful jump.
