Built in 1855, the once-working Eagle River lighthouse has been completely renovated and transformed into the coolest historic place to stay for a true Pure Michigan experience.

This Michigan relic has stood as a testament to time. Over one hundred years old and still fully operational, although not used for its original purpose.

From lighthouses to Vernors, Michigan is known for a lot of different things. However, did you know these things that Michigan is best known for?

Due to that huge number, Michigan is the state with the most lighthouses in the entire United States of America.

Tawas Point Light is located in the Tawas Point State Park off Tawas Bay in Lake Huron in Baldwin Township in Northern Michigan, and when it was built in 1877, rested on the edge of the point looking over the lake
