While you're trying to come up with any kind of chip you can do more with than a tortilla chip, let's talk about what makes them so damn special.

Honestly, they are perfect on their own and is it just me or does each "style" have a different taste?

Each type of chip is a beautifully crispy, salty vessel to deliver the deliciousness of various dips to your mouth.

The tiny bowl-shaped "scoops" are absolutely perfect for if what you are dipping it in is on the more liquid-y side...or for when you want as much dip as possible. This is personally my go-to for things like buffalo chicken dip.

The round ones are great, especially when you want something a bit more bite-sized as well.

Obviously you can't ever go wrong with the classics and those beautiful, traditional triangles are perfect as well.

It's not even just that tortilla chips come in various shapes and sizes though that makes them already far superior to any other chip. Nay, nay, I say.

You ever had one with a "hint of lime"? Excuse me while I wipe my drool off the keyboard.

Even with just the classic, plain tortilla chip, it can be crushed up and used as a topping for salad or to add a little crunch to virtually any dish, they can be dipped in literally ANYTHING!

Salsa, dips, burrito bowls? Always.

Peanut butter? Don't knock it 'till you try it.

Basically if you like that thing and you like tortilla chips, you can combine them and the chances of it tasting bad are practically nonexistent.

All in all, tortilla chips reign supreme over all other chips and this is where I am choosing to plant my flag. Call me the queen of tortilla chip town if you must, that's where I'm at.
