Alice Cooper is heading back to Detroit tonight, scheduled to play a private show downtown tonight at John Varvatos' retail store. According to an article at mlive.com, the one-off concert is by invite only, but Cooper is scheduled to walk the black carpet along Woodward Avenue prior to the show.

Both Cooper and Varvatos are Detroit natives. Varvatos, a world renowned fashion designer, opened his retail store in Detroit last month, in the heart of a renaissance zone being developed by another native of Motown, Dan Gilbert. The Varvatos store reportedly has a sizable stage in its retail space, and even has an upper level with records and record players available for sale.

Meanwhile, as Cooper gets set for the show tonight, plans are set for another Metro Detroit appearance later this year, opening for Motley Crue on the next leg of their Farewell Tour on August 9, 2015 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
