The Lansing State Journal reports that East Lansing police will be cracking down on vehicles not yielding at crosswalks as kids heading to school. Jerks (my commentary, not a quote from the Journal).

Sounds like the city has been getting complaints from school crossing guards and parents about drivers not stopping for pedestrians crossing the street.

East Lansing police say they'll start writing tickets very soon in hopes of putting the kibosh on the negligence and keeping the teens and little kids safe on the streets.
