I have friends and family who go around quoting the Farmer's Almanac. They act like it was information handed down by God to Moses on stone tablets. Like the weather experts... Thay are occasionally right. I hope they are right about this winter.

Last year, they predicted a colder than average winter for Michigan. That came to fruition. We even had a snowstorm that could be seen from outer space. Click here to see that.

The Farmer's Almanac says it will be warmer and wetter with the normal amount of snowfall for both lower and upper peninsulas. The National Weather service concurs with the findings and says there is a 40% chance chance of higher-than-average temperatures for the fall and winter. They all say the reason for the warm weather is El Nino.

The coldest months are expected to be in December and January.
