Reading the Lansing State Journal website this morning, I came across a crazy story about the construction in Old Town. They are doing water main replacement and road construction. They unearthed what is thought to be a 100 year-old brick road with railroad ties. They believe horse and buggies used to run on them. Click here to see the full story.

The story by Eric Lacy, says people from Old Town have been going out and grabbing some of the bricks to keep as collectors items. Some bricks are selling for like 20 bucks.

They say the tracks were for the Trolleys that ran in Lansing from the 1900's to the 1930's. They think this will start the public history of the Lansing Trolleys.

The story also says back in the 50's, Lansing had some of the best roads in the state... Wouldn't it be nice to get back to that status?
