I-96 Shut Down For Intentional Grass Fire Near Williamston
A weird story is coming out of Williamston from WILX.com. Apparently, the reason for I-96 being shut down to traffic Saturday evening was due to a grass fire set intentionally.
Around 7:30 PM Saturday, Ingham County Sheriff Deputies closed eastbound I-96 at the Williamston Exit 117. Fire officials extinguished the blaze quickly. A Michigan State Police chopper spotted a female in a ditch along the expressway near the fire. Officials believe she is responsible and was hospitalized.
