It was just over a year ago that I wrote a post about Lansing School District's interest in public opinion about improving its quality of education; specifically, its facilities. And, the talk continues about what to do with Lansing's high schools.

Last week, I read an article in the Lansing State Journal that got me thinking about the situation again. The article itself discussed potential redevelopment of the former GM plant sites. I thought about the potential of those properties being the grounds for a future school. I started to think about other locations around Lansing that would be good fits; I thought of some missed opportunities, too. Now, of course, funding is the major issue with this whole situation. But, for the sake of this discussion, dollars and cents sense are not being taken into account. After all, pipe-dreams are what spawn true vision. I've listed my Top Three Choice Sites and Top Three Strikeouts. (One site actually made both lists.) I would love to get some of your pipe-dream ideas, too!
