Mark Farner Raising Money for Michigan Flood Victims

Mark Farner still rocks. Dude just coughed up 2 grand and started a GO Fund Me to help Michigan Flood Victims. He is using his social media to reach out to his followers. Duran and Mark have developed a bromance, they are good friends. Forging a friendship with a rock star is why a lot of us got in this business.

Mark is a Michigan legend. His love for our state is fierce. He posted this video to youtube last week after seeing the flood devastation in Michigan.

We are featuring Grand Funk Railroad on the show this morning for Michigan Made Monday. One song in particular, seems to fit. "I'm Your Captain" (Closer to Home) from the Bosnia album. Back in 1997, Grand Funk recorded the Bosnia album at the Palace with a  special appearance from Peter Frampton. Paul Shaffer directed the Michigan Symphony Orchestra. It's a stirring rendition that will raise the hair on your arms.
