We here in Michigan are so lucky to be surrounded by the Great Lakes, and GREAT they are.

There are five of them, and naturally, each of them has their own personality. Which one do you relate to most? Which one is your favorite? Can it say something about your personality? Will this series of questions ever end?

Whether you are strong and sometimes unforgiving like Lake Superior, or shallow yet warm like Lake Erie, we are here to break down what exactly your favorite Great Lake says about your personality.

Now, we are not professionals here and we are sure not psychologists but we have taken well-known facts and stereotypes about the Great Lakes and used them to figure out the type of person who would specifically love any of these beautiful bodies of water.

Of course, much like many of these personality "tests" you can be a mix of two, or even have a little bit of each in you!

That's what's so great about having FIVE Great Lakes to choose from, you don't necessarily have to pick just one because they are all (fairly) easy for any Michigander to get to.

Our state motto is "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you" meaning we are so lucky to have many peninsulas that jut out into each of these lakes while also having our state be a peninsula in itself.
