Eagles Add Even More 2018 Tour Dates
The Eagles have added another four shows to their 2018 touring schedule, taking the total number of announced appearances to 41. It’s possible that even more dates could be added. Joe Walsh originally said the band was planning to play between 40 and 50 concerts this year.
The latest additions follow those tacked on earlier this week and take place in May, July and September, which doesn’t change the opening date of March 12 but extends the run from July 28 to Sept. 22. The full itinerary to date can be seen below, with new shows in bold. While most are billed as An Evening With the Eagles, the last two shows feature the Zac Brown Band and the final one also includes the Doobie Brothers. Guests at other select dates include Jimmy Buffett, Chris Stapleton and James Taylor.
The Eagles played their first full-length show since the 2016 death of Glenn Frey last July, with the late founder’s son Deacon part of the lineup alongside another new addition, country star Vince Gill. Co-founder Don Henley dedicated the band's classic “Take It Easy” to his longtime musical partner by saying, “This one’s for you, Glenn. You’re in our hearts tonight and the music goes on.” Later, Deacon told the crowd, “This is unbelievable. The last few years have been rough. The only remedy for that is love and I’m feeling it from you tonight. This is my medicine.”
