This is a feature we do every year. Last year we did it in February before the pandemic. We were past due, it was time to celebrate Michigan music again. When I did my article last Friday talking about this feature, I listed the top 19 Michigan Bands I get requests for. As I expected, there were a couple I overlooked. Bands like 707, Catfish Hodge, and Marshall Crenshaw were requested and played. They did not make my list.

Michigan is very proud of it’s music scene, Michigan artists are always on the Saturday Night playlist. Thank you for another fun night on the radio. (despite all of the interruptions from the weather bureau) Next weekend is the 4th of July holiday weekend, and Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ is presenting an All American Weekend, concentrating on American artists. Scott and I have the weekend off, we’ll both be back with our shows the following weekend. Have a safe and fun 4th of July!
