Gardening With Nugget Update: Pants and Plants
A few months ago, my daughter and I planted our garden. Well, she mainly helped with the pumpkins. I took some pictures and shared this story "Gardening with Nugget."
I have been doing my best to keep up with the weeding this year but it's just me and this kid is useless when it comes to pulling weeds. The pumpkins are growing like I have never seen. Some were knee high by the 4th of July. I know it's a corn thing but I am hopeful it translates to some BIG pumpkins this year. The pumpkins are almost as big as my little girl. We went out to check them the other day and she was pleasantly surprised.
We ordered a fence to keep the deer out and started installing that yesterday. Now, if I could just get her to start weeding, we'll be good.
Watching the plants grow with your child is quite a satisfying feeling. Seeing how they overcome the obstacles and persevere gives me inspiration. Some plants and people cling to life after being cut down to a single thread, while others with deep roots give up so easily. Life is worth the fight and it's give me hope to see the fight in nature and mankind. Life is a garden... Dig it.
