Tailgate Innovation: The Plywood Wood Holder
A while back, I told you my dad's tailgate fell off. He replaced his tailgate with a "tuba four" (2X4). It hauls most loads but this weekend I had to haul a face cord of wood and the Tuba Four wasn't cutting it. (My dad calls a 2X4 a tuba four) Click here to see the original story.
After seeing some of the redneck innovation on the tailgates, I was inspired. One was crafted out of Luan Flooring and looked very safe. So, I got to thinking...
I had been using the saw a lot lately and felt like customizing a tailgate for my face cord haul. It didn't take long and secured the load much better than the ol tuba four. Plywood tailgate worked awesome. It was a bit tight but did the job. Click here to see more customized tailgates.
