I have spent 25 years with the same woman. I never thought in a million years I would be able to say that. A few years ago, I was bragging to a friend about loyalty. How good it felt to be loyal to someone. It's a gift you are giving them but even more than that, it's kind of a gift to yourself. They thought I was taking the high road, being too high and mighty.

I always told my wife, I may never give you a fat diamond ring but I'll always be devoted and loyal. It's the one gift I CAN give. I saw some guys early in my radio career who would move on any opportunity. That was fine for some but not for me. To each their own.

As the years went by, I started to see how this was a gift to myself. Not having to worry about STD's, a random kid showing up at the door or the awkward moment of confrontation with a jaded ex lover.

My wife consulted with me that radio would be a good career path. She set up the school. When I graduated, she drove me to WMMQ and told me to go inside. When I got fired from another job for being rebellious, she got me unemployment and lead me on the path back to WMMQ. I have been here ever since. All I do is give her crap on the radio... And give her the most precious gift I can... Loyalty and devotion.

We had our first date on May 14, 1995. Got married on May 14th, 1999. Today is 21 years married and 25 years together. I am a very lucky dude.
