Good People: McConnell Adams
I have to admit, I haven't made a lot of friends past 40. The few I have, I try to hold on to, but it's hard to stay friends with a smart mouth that rarely wants to go out.
It was a few years ago that this guy started working at our station.
It's hard to explain how much he has reenergized my love for radio and what we do.
My radio partner and good friend left back in January after 7 and a half years together. I thought hard about walking away, but one of the reasons I have hung around is this dude. He makes it so much fun to come in to work. When we are all getting pushed, he is the first to push back. In meetings, he is a leader and usually says what a lot of us are thinking.
The other day, I walked in his office and the picture above is what I saw. I laughed about that last sign all day.
Whenever I am down, this guy finds a way to pick me up. I am lucky to work with such professionals.
Man @ Large does Mornings on 97.5 Now FM. One of our sister stations. I am not afraid to promote competition because I get to play the Classic Rock. He doesn't.
