I remember Meals on Wheels when I was a kid. For a time, they brought food to my grandma. I thought then what a great system for the older folks who don't leave the house as much. In this scammer day and age, it makes even more sense to have meals delivered to your home.

Meals on Wheels is always looking for volunteers. Sometimes it can take as little as an hour to deliver a meal.

There are some pretty scary urban legend stories about the elderly and what they eat on tight budgets. Some elderly people have resorted to eating pet food. In some cases, the Meals on Wheels food may be the only thing they eat that day.

It isn't always bad planning and the persons fault. Sometimes they help others so much they forget to help themselves. Let's help them!
